Facebook!! - Note

Can you ignore checking your Facebook account for one day? Facebook has changed

people’s life around the world; it has become one of the most famous using social media in

the internet. People in general, think that Facebook has had bad effects on the society

especially elderly people. However, Facebook has good and useful effects on generations and

the three most useful effects are; using Facebook to link people around the world, sharing

knowledge, and making advertisement.

One of the effects is using Facebook to link people around the world. There are several ways

to connect with other people but Facebook is a great website to connect between people

because people at least check their Facebook three times a day, but with the Facebook

application on phones now people are using it much more. People can use Facebook to

connect with their families and friends, Families who are far away from home or friends that

a person didn’t hear about from a long time and also it is a great website to create a have a

great relationship with friends and colleagues.

Another good effect is sharing knowledge, pictures, videos, and thoughts. Facebook helps

people to share whatever they are currently doing on it; it can be by updating a status or

uploading a picture from a certain event or place. People can know the thoughts of other

people by simply saying what they want on Facebook as well as Sharing articles and daily

quotes in order to let people read and be entertained.

The most important effect is using Facebook as method for advertisement. Facebook became

a really easy source to make advertisement for different companies, movies, celebrates, news,

and politicians. For examples, People have stopped looking at the TV news because they

found an easier way to know about it from Facebook pages. Another example people who are

talented in sewing, knitting, making accessories and cannot afford opening a place for

themselves find opening a page on Facebook and selling their products much cheaper and

There are many good effects for Facebook, and the three most important effects are using

Facebook connecting social media to link people around the world, sharing knowledge, and

the most important effect is using Facebook as advertisement method for people. I heard

once one of friends saying if I got a degree from checking my Facebook account, I’m sure

that I will get an A with a ceremony so they can honor me :)) .

The Hanging Tree

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
They strung up a man
They say who murdered three.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging
Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where dead man called out
For his love to flee.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree

This is an amazing song that I heard yesterday by Jennifer Lawrence

A sustainable SCULPTURE!!

I'm sharing with you what a group of student did this semester... They built a sculpture from an old drawers...

"The Geology Department was getting rid of a few dozen old drawers and we were looking for a new sculpture project... The latest courtyard sculpture continues the recent tradition of paying tribute to Andy Goldsworthy's natural sculptures but with found or re-purposed materials. It will be up through the fall semester.

This sculpture is inspired by Andy Goldsworthy's Touching North.

MSU Students Place Second Nationally in US EPA's Campus RainWorks Challenge

Im sharing an article which was published in our School blog, after we got Awarded Second Place nationally in US EPA's Campus Rain Works Challenge, My job to help do the Renders and The Movie "by Lumion"... We were a team of 8 students, I had a wonderful oppertunity to work with them... Thanks to everyone for their hardwork.

The US Environmental Protection Agency's Campus RainWorks Challenge is a design competition aimed at inspiring students to "develop innovative green infrastructure systems that mitigate the impacts of urban storm water while supporting vibrant and sustainable communities."  The MSU student team chose to redesign a very vibrant, but underutilized space on the MSU campus which they renamed, "The Union Green."  The competition was a project in Professor Cory Gallo's graduate design class which is focused on design issues related to water.  The team's design focused on creating a multi-functional space which not only manages stormwater in an artful way, but also creates an educational and inspiring social setting for students, faculty and visitors to the campus.  The students accepted their award (which comes with a $1000 cash prize) from the US EPA on Monday.

Student Team: Anas Bdour, Jerry Hill, Zhengfei Lu, Yazan Mahadin, Juriel Rogers, and Fan Yang (Landscape Architecture); Edith L. Martinez-Guerra (Civil Engineering); and Mickenzie Robbins (Graphic Design).
Advisors: Cory Gallo (Faculty advisor) and Jeremiah Dumas (Facilities advisor).
